Description: Silk blouse worn by Mrs. Agatha Wiens made in 1912 from a scarf given to her by her husband (Henry B. Wiens) on her wedding day (September 19, 1896 Schoenfeld, Russia).  Blouse is off-white/beige silk, with a lace collar, snap closure buttons at the back, clear beaded decorative stitching.  Quite short waist and arm length (3/4 length).  Some brownish stains and a tear under left sleeve when item was acquired.

Description: Blouse is part of a winter outfit set, which belonged to Mrs. Flaming (mother of Anne Konrad) worn early 1900's.  It is hand-made of maroon-coloured, heavy cloth, with embroidery at the collar and cuffs, snap closures and an undershirt, which is attached.

Description: Long sleeve white cotton blouse with black and red cross stitch embroidery, two mother of pearl buttons/button holes on each embroidered cuff, seven same buttons/ button holes on front placket, top button missing.  Blouse well preserved and in excellent condition.  Made by Katharina Neufeld Fast, daughter of Gerhard and Anna Enns Neufeld of Felsenburg estate, in the former Soviet Union, near Rosenhof estates.  Probably part of dowry made in Russia or early years in Canada - Katharina and her siblings emigrated to Kitchener, Canada in the 1920's. Fabric may have come from Forsythe Shirt Factory where female Neufeld family members were employed in early 1920's.  Katharina was second wife of Peter B. Fast, late of Leamington, Ontario.

Description: Knitted coat and hat set of red wool belonging to Susanna Froese Woelk when she lived with her family in Myrilubovka, Siberia.  The wool is from her father's (Dietrich Froese 1884-1965) sheep, her mother Maria Penner spun the yarn and a Mennonite neighbour knitted the set circa 1920.  The warm winter hat was also worn when Susanna was going to school in Canada.

Description: Russian coat belonging to Wilhelm Andres (Niagara-on-the-Lake) worn when he lived in the USSR.  He got the coat and a pair of boots in exchange for food when he lived in the USSR.  He emigrated to Canada in 1920.  The coat is of black cashmere fabric, with a lining of Russian mink fur, and a collar of Persian lamb.

All buttons were missing and the inside lining had a tear when item was acquired.

Hairnet worn to cover worker's hair, white plastic visor, black knit net (elastic).
